AFAR Experts in the News: Andrew Dillin, PhD, and Matt Kaeberlein, PhD, on “Why Do We Age?” in The New York Times
On March 20th, 2024, The New York Times featured AFAR Grantees Matt Kaeberlein, PhD, and Andrew Dillin, PhD, in an article on the biological causes of aging. Dr. Kaeberlein and Dr. Dillon share perspectives on how aging researchers are advancing knowledge on the hallmarks of aging and working to extend healthspan and delay age-related diseases.
Dr. Kaeberlein is a 2006 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Faculty recipient, and a 2007 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Breakthroughs in Gerontology (BIG) Award recipient. He is also the 2011 recipient of AFAR’s Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star Award in Aging Research.
Dr. Dillin is a 2010 AFAR Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star Award in Aging Research award recipient.
