Former Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star Award in Aging Research winner Valter D. Longo, PhD and his research on caloric restriction and intermittent fasting are spotlighted.


The article also highlights the Targeting Aging with Metformin (TAME) Trial led by AFAR Deputy Scientific Director Nir Barzilai, MD, as well as advances in senolytics led by Unity Biotechnology, which was co-founded by AFAR board member Nathaniel E. David, PhD and AFAR grantee Judith Campisi, PhD.
