On August 15, 2018, Netflix and Vox's “Explained” series premiered a new episode focusing on aging research and longevity; AFAR expert Nir Barzilai, MD lends insight on the promise of aging research and the Targeting Aging with Metformin (TAME) Trial, which AFAR helps manage.
Dr. Barzilai is AFAR’s Deputy Scientific Director, a multiple AFAR grantee, and Director of the Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, for which AFAR serves as the Coordinating Center.
