On August 10th, 2025, The Independent featured AFAR Board Member and multiple-grantee Nir Barzilai, MD, on the limits to human lifespan and how lifestyle interventions can help extend healthspan.
In addition to being an AFAR Board Member, Dr. Barzilai is the President of the Academy of Health and Lifespan Research; a 1997 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging scholar and 1994 AFAR Research Grant recipient, as well as the Co-Investigator of the AFAR SuperAgers Family Study.
