Leading health experts Christine Cassel, MD, President of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the ABIM Foundation, and Richard Besdine, MD, Director of the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and AFAR Medical Officer, examined the risks and rewards of health screenings for diseases prevalent among older adults, reviewed recent screening developments and new research findings, and discussed screening implications unique to adults over age 60.
