All of us may not live into our nineties or beyond, but all of us can learn from those who have. One path to gaining scientific knowledge about healthy aging is look at those who have lived past their 95th birthday—people known as SuperAgers. The experience and biology of SuperAgers give us unique insights into understanding how genetics and lifestyle contribute to living an exceptionally long, healthy life.
Next up in AFAR and Prevention's Live Better Longer webinar series, Kaitlyn Phoenix, Deputy Editor, Hearst Health Newsroom, will talk with Nir Barzilai, MD, Co-Investigator of the AFAR SuperAgers Family Study, AFAR Board Member, and author of Age Later: Health Span, Life Span and the New Science of Longevity.
For decades, Dr. Barzilai has been leading research to unlock the genetic code for longevity through the study of those who have lived well into their nineties and beyond. Currently, he is helping lead the national SuperAgers Family Study. Data from this research study will help advance future studies on age-related diseases and therapeutics to extend our years of health.
They’ll be joined by 95-year-old Florida resident Natalie Ramirez, who’ll share why she’s excited to help future generations live healthier, and longer, by participating in the SuperAgers Family Study.
Please join us for this special opportunity to learn from the wisdom of a SuperAger--and a SuperAger Researcher.
