AFAR will organize its annual scientific meetings in Santa Barbara, California from June 1-3, 2020. The three-day event includes the AFAR Grantee Conference, the Glenn Workshop on the Biology of Aging, and the New Investigators in Alzheimer's disease meeting. AFAR grantees, senior leaders the field, and representatives from foundations will convene to hear about the most recent research from AFAR-supported investigators, and to share insights on emerging directions in the field.

To celebrate AFAR's 45th anniversary, our annual awards dinner and scientific symposium returns on Monday, December 7, 2026, to the Harvard Club in Manhattan. AFAR is pleased to honor the Atria Health and Research Institute, with CEO and Co-founder Alan Tisch accepting the award. We are honored to welcome guest speaker Dan Buettner, National Geographic Explorer, best-selling author, and Founder of Blue Zones.
