New York State Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed AFAR’s Executive Director Stephanie Lederman, EdM, to the newly established Stakeholder Advisory Committee for the New York Master Plan for Aging.
This advisory committee will gather leading experts to provide their expertise on aging to establish guidelines for age-friendly policies to provide opportunities for New Yorkers of all ages. The committee will consist of 28 members tasked with considering feedback from peer experts and engaging in regional listening sessions with the public on issues that matter to them. The committee’s input will directly impact the Master Plan for Aging to draft guidance for building healthy, livable communities that offer opportunities for older adults.
