AFAR-affiliated experts guide new Geroscience Education and Training 2 (GET2) Network through GSA, funded by NIA/NIH

AFAR congratulates the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) for receiving a three-year grant award from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) of the National Institutes of Health to establish the Geroscience Education and Training 2 (GET2) Network.

The GET2 Network will increase access to geroscience training through a centralized virtual-hybrid platform and broaden participation across institutions and disciplines.

This new initiative builds on two NIA-funded projects---the Geroscience Education and Training Network and the Education in Aging and Geroscience program—that were developed with contributions and guidance from several AFAR-affiliated experts including Board Member Sara Espinoza, MD, FGSA, and grantees John Newman, MD, PhD, Miranda Orr, PhD, and Robert Pignolo, MD, PhD.
