AFAR Grantee in the News: New Research co-authored by AFAR Grantee Daniel Promislow, DPhil, published in Aging Cell

On October 22nd, 2025, Aging Cell published research co-authored by AFAR Grantee Daniel Promislow, DPhil, on protein catabolites as a possible blood-based biomarkers of aging and other findings from the Dog Aging Project.

AFAR's FAST (Finding Aging biomarkers by Searching existing Trials) Initiative aims to determine which targeted and omics-based biomarker approaches are feasible yet innovative enough to advance the development of biomarkers for clinical trials in aging. Learn more here.

Dr. Promislow is a 1998 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Facultyrecipient and a 2010 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Breakthroughs in Gerontology (BIG) Awardrecipient.
