In addition to being an AFAR board Member, Dr. Kirkland is a 2020 Irving S. Wright Award of Distinction recipient, and a 2012 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Breakthroughs in Gerontology (BIG) Award recipient. He is the current Director of the Center for Advanced Gerotherapeutics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles.
