Privacy Policy for SuperAgers Initiative

Your privacy is important to us. To protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our information and practices related to our SuperAgers Initiative and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

When you provide us with your contact information through this Web page, we will use your information to provide you with further information about the SuperAgers’ Initiative, including newsletters and other correspondence regarding the SuperAgers Community. We may also use your information to provide you with additional information about us - the American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR).

We may use your information to assess whether you might qualify to participate in the SuperAgers Family Study and other similar studies (the “Study”). If you might qualify for participation in the Study, we may provide your information to our partners that are involved in conducting the Study, including the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, the Study manager.

To opt out of receiving further communications from us, please go to the “Requests to Stop Receiving Communications from AFAR” section of AFAR’s general privacy policy, which may be found here.

Protecting Personal Information

We maintain and transmit your information in compliance with all applicable laws. When we transmit to our partners information you provide that is identifiable to you or that may be used to identify you, we allow them to use your information only for an AFAR permitted purpose, unless we otherwise tell you through our communications to you. Deidentified information, which is information about you but that is not identifiable to you, may, if requested by our partners and we agree, be used by our partners for their own purposes.

The Use of “Cookies”, “Links to Other Sites”, “Requests to Stop Receiving Communications from AFAR”, and “Updating or Changing Personal Information” sections of AFAR’s general privacy policy, which may be found here, also apply to the SuperAgers Intiative.
