Grantees in the News: Reisa Sperling and Gad Marshall new research shows how symptoms of Depression may be a marker for Alzheimer’s in JAMA Network Open View MoreBACK

On August 9, 2019, JAMA Network Open  published research co-authored by Reisa A. Sperling, MD, and Gad A. Marshall, MD, on how symptoms of Depression in cognitively healthy older individuals may be a biological marker for Alzheimer’s Disease.


Dr. Sperling is a 2003 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging recipient. She is also the Co-Investigator of Neuroimaging Core at the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, the Director of the Center for Alzheimer Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and a Professor of Neurology at Harvard Catalyst.


Dr. Marshall is a New Investigator Award in Alzheimer’s Disease recipient, as well as an Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Catalyst and an Associate Medical Director of Clinical Trials in the Memory Disorders Unit at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
