On December 17, 2018, Aging Cell published research co-authored by AFAR experts Emily Davis, BA and Dena Dubal, MD, PhD on the role of female XX chromosomes in extending healthspan.

Ms. Davis is a 2017 AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging recipient.

Dr. Dubal is a 2015 AFAR Research Grant for Junior Faculty recipient, 2009 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging scholar, and a 1998 AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging recipient.
