Grantees in the News: Catherine Kaczorowski and Sarah Neuner’s research in Neuron on a better mouse model for more precise Alz research
On December 27, 2019, Neuron published research co-authored by AFAR experts Catherine Kaczorowski, PhD and Sarah Neuner exploring how incorporating genetic diversity into a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease resulted in greater overlap with the genetic, molecular, and clinical features of the disease.
Dr. Kaczorwoski is a 2014 New Investigator Award in Alzheimer's Disease recipient and a member of the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Aging Research Selection Committee for 2017 and 2018.
Ms. Neuner is a 2015 Glenn/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging recipient and PhD candidate at the Jackson Laborotory, one of the six Nathan Shock Centers of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging.

The research will appear in the February 2019 print edition of Neuron.
