Grantees in News: Joseph Baur and David Sinclair latest research on impairing sirtuins by shortening telomeres as potential treatment for age-related disease in Cell Metabolism

On March 28, 2019, Cell Metabolism published research co-authored by AFAR experts Joseph Bauer, PhD and David Sinclair, PhD exploring how impairing sirtuins by stabilizing telomeres could lead to a potential treatment for age-related disease.

Dr. Baur is a 2009 AFAR Grant for Junior Faculty recipient. He also has served on AFAR’s National Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Sinclair is an AFAR Board Member, 2018 Irving S. Wright Award winner, and 2000 AFAR Research Grant for Junior Faculty recipient.
