On March 26, 2019, The New York Times spotlighted research by AFAR expert Harlan Krumholz, MD exploring patterns of hospitalizations, treatments, and outcomes for older patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) over a recent 20-year period in the United States.

Dr. Krumholz is 1996 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging (K76) scholar.

The New York Times article, “Americans are having Fewer Heart Attacks,” summarizes findings from Dr. Krumholz’ research published on March 15, 2019 in JAMA Network Open.
