On December 2, 2019, NPR Buffalo featured the insights of AFAR expert Bruce Troen, MD, on the research necessary to increase healthspan and improve the lives of older adults.

Dr. Troen is a 1990 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Faculty recipient. He is also a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo.

The feature follows a five-year, $750,000 grant from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) to the Center for Successful Aging, where Dr. Troen is the Director.
