Experts in the News: Valter Longo on the harm of following nutritional and dietary advice from Silicon Valley tech influencers in Well+Good View MoreBACK

On March 6, Well+Good featured insights from AFAR expert Valter Longo, PhD, on the potential harm of following nutritional advice from technology company founders and influencers who are not certified practitioners.

Dr. Longo is a 1998 AFAR Research Grant for Junior Faculty recipient, as well as a 2013 Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star Award in Aging Research recipient. He is also the Edna M. Jones Professor of Gerontology and a Professor of Biological Sciences at the Leonard Davis School at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Longo previously presented a webinar with Satchidananda Panda, PhD, on his fasting-mimicking diet, caloric restriction, and the circadian code. This webinar was hosted by AFAR and Next Avenue, and moderated by AFAR Senior Scientific Director Steven Austad, PhD.
