Experts in the News: Hanyu Liang and Adam Salmon research tests Metformin and Acarbose to assess healthspan of marmosets in Newswise

On December 4, 2019, Newswise spotlighted research by AFAR experts Hanyu Liang, PhD, and Adam Salmon, PhD, measuring the effectiveness and safety of Metformin and Acarbose on marmosets to assess healthspan benefits.

Dr. Liang is a 2003 Diana Jacobs Kalman/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging recipient, as well as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Salmon is a 2013 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Faculty recipient. He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health in San Antonio.
