Expert in the News: Domenico Praticò research on olive oil improving brain activity & reducing reduces risk of dementia in Aging Cell View MoreBACK

On November 24, 2019, Aging Cell published research by AFAR expert Domenico Praticò, MD, that explores how consuming olive oil improves brain activity and memory while decreasing the accumulation of tau, reducing the risk of dementia.

Dr. Praticò is a 1997 and 1999 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Faculty recipient. He is also a Scott Richards North Star Charitable Foundation Chair for Alzheimer’s Research, a Professor of Pharmacology, a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, and a Professor and Director of the Alzheimer’s Center at Temple University.
