Board Member in the News: Rudy Tanzi latest book on habits, epigenetics, healing, and aging in Forbes
On January 29, 2018, Forbes spotlighted the latest book co-authored by AFAR board member Rudy Tanzi, Ph.D., The Healing Self.
The article “Chopra, Tanzi Share How To Change Neural Pathways and Even Gene Expression Itself In New Book,” examines how the book explores the effect of epigenetics (the study of changes in organisms caused by modification of gene expression rather than alteration of the genetic code itself), as well as daily habits, on healing and aging.
In the article, Dr. Tanzi explains the importance of lifestyle choices on healthy living: “In the face of environmental toxins, potential epidemics, superbugs and the accelerated aging process, the significance of achieving optimum health has never been more crucial and the burden to achieve it now rests on individuals making the right lifestyle choices every day.”
