AFAR congratulates Board Member David Sinclair, PhD, AO, on the release of his book,  Lifespan: Why We Age – and Why We Don’t Have To,  published by Atria Books, a subsidiary of Simon & Schuster.

In this groundbreaking book, Dr. Sinclair reveals a bold new theory for why we age.

“David is a pioneer poised to change how we think about and understand aging,” AFAR Executive Director Stephanie Lederman endorses on the book’s back cover.

Dr. Sinclair is a 2000 AFAR Research Grant recipient. He is also a Professor in the Department of Genetics and co-Director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for the Biology of Aging at Harvard Medical School.

Since its release, the book has risen on The New York Times best-seller list.
