AFAR Awards Dinner Celebrates Founder & Today’s Leaders
On April 15, 2013, AFAR celebrated its 2012 Annual Awards Dinner, rescheduled from October due to Hurricane Sandy.
At the Lotus Club in New York City, supporters, grantees, board members, and guests gathered as AFAR presented a range of Awards of Distinction, including:

Received by William Doty on behalf of his parents, who were instrumental in the growth of AFAR as an organization.
AFAR also recognized Jan Vijg, PhD, Professor and Chair of Genetics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine with the Irving S. Wright Award; and Anne Brunett, PhD, Associate Professor of Genetics, Stanford University, with the Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star in Aging Research Award.
