Grantee in the News: Judith Simcox, PhD, on recent advances in the treatment and management of diabetes in 50th anniversary issue of Cell

On July 25th, 2024, the special 50thanniversary issue of Cell featured an article co-authored by AFAR Grantee Judith Simcox, PhD on recent insights and advances in the treatment and management of diabetes. The paper reviews hundreds of studies examining genetic, environmental, and social factors, and diabetes’ links to cardiovascular and kidney issues.

The article builds on Dr. Simcox’s research supported in part to her 2022 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Faculty
