On August 8, 2021, Molecular Therapy published new research co-authored by AFAR grantee Eleni Markoutsa, PhD, which reveals how primed stem cells can promote neurological recovery and inhibit memory loss, motor-loss, and anxiety-like behavioral dysfunctions.
Dr. Markoutsa is a 2019 Irene Diamond Fund/AFAR Postdoctoral Transition Award recipient, and is a Research Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida.
