On August 11, 2021, Naturepublished new research co-authored by AFAR grantee Charles K. F. Chan, PhD, which connects the aging of skeletal stems cells with degeneration of bone marrow and increases in inflammation.
Dr. Chan is a 2019 Arthritis and Aging Research Grant recipient, as well as an Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University.
This research was partially funded by Dr. Chan’s AFAR grant.
