On June 3, 2021, The New York Times Opinion column focused on living healthier for longer, thanks to advances in aging research. The column references research by AFAR awardee Morgan Levine, PhD, and features insights from Board Member S. Jay Olshansky, PhD.
Dr. Levine is a 2021 Vincent Cristofalo Rising Star Award in Aging Research recipient and has served as a member of the National Scientific Advisory Council (NSAC) since 2020. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Epidemiology (Chronic Diseases) in the School of Medicine at Yale University.
Dr. Olshansky is an AFAR board member and 2016 Irving S. Wright Award recipient. He is currently a Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Research Associate at the Center on Aging at the University of Chicago, and at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and the Chief Scientist at Lapetus Solutions, Inc.
