AFAR in the News: Stephanie Lederman and AFAR featured in Inside Philanthropy whitepaper on giving for neuroscience

On March 7, 2023, Inside Philanthropy published a whitepaper on giving for neuroscience research featuring insights from AFAR Executive Director Stephanie Lederman, EdM. Helping position the need for cognitive research and geroscience, Lederman highlighted the importance of collaboration among leaders across all sectors in aging research can result in increased funding for all.

“If you collaborate, you will accomplish so much more than figuring out how to do it on your own, especially in underserved areas like cognitive aging, where there’s not enough resources,” she says.

The whitepaper investigates the current funding landscape for the field of aging research and neuroscience, noting top grantmakers and research areas, providing an industry analysis, and discussing challenges and insights from top philanthropic leaders in the field.
