From May to October of 2021, AFAR’s International Activities Task Force brought together global leaders across a variety of sectors for a series of GeroFutures Think Tanks. Experts from the biotech, biology, philanthropy, and private sectors convened to explore opportunities and gaps in research, therapeutics, and collaboration, sharing their insights and wrestling with tough questions about the main challenges and most promising areas facing aging research today.
The three Think Tanks explores the following topics:
AFAR has summarized the key insights and findings from each session into a Gero Futures Think Tanks Report, premiered on November 17 during UK Longevity Week, organized by AFAR Board Member Jim Mellon. (Several AFAR experts presented and AFAR hopes to share recordings soon.)
We hope this report encourages knowledge sharing, fosters potential collaborations and investments, and inspires innovative new approaches to aging research.
