AFAR Grantees in the News: New Research co-authored by Timothy Jarome, PhD, and Yeeun Bae, PhD, in Brain Research Bulletin, Neuroscience, and MSN

On October 1st, Brain Research Bulletin published new research co-authored by AFAR Grantees Timothy Jarome, PhD, and Yeeun Bae, PhD, on aging-related molecular changes in the brain and possible new techniques of adjusting them to improve memory. The two AFAR Grantees also published research in the August 6th issue of Neuroscience exploring other ways to boost memory in aging brains. These two separate studies were also highlighted in Welltica.

In a Virginia Tech News article highlights that two separate studies, Dr. Jarome spoke on the importance of these findings, “This work shows that memory decline is linked to specific molecular changes that can be targeted and studied.”

Dr. Bae is a 2024 Diana Jacobs Kalman/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging recipient.

Dr. Jarome is a 2016 Glenn/AFAR Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Translational Research on Aging recipient.

Also picked up by MSN, read the Welltica article, “Scientists discover a way to reverse brain aging” here.

Neuroscience is the official journal of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO).
