AFAR Grantee in the News: New research co-authored by Qinchuan Wang, PhD, on protein and age-related muscle dysfunction in Aging Cell.

On September 10th, 2026, Aging Cell published new research co-authored by AFAR Grantee Qinchuan Wang, PhD, on how changes in CaMKII (Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II), a protein involved in muscle function, may contribute to age-related muscle dysfunction.

Dr. Wang is a 2023 Glenn Foundation for Medical Research and AFAR Grants for Junior Faculty recipient.
