With seven other leading organizations in aging, AFAR helped sponsor the Reframing Aging initiative to shape communications and language on aging. Learn how the City and County of San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services (SF DAAS) is working on both the macro and micro levels to adopt and implement a Reframing Aging initiative across the department, as well as with community partners and service providers. Presenters represent all levels of the change process including leaders, communications managers and community partners. Learn what planning, actions and collaborations are necessary to embark and sustain this wide-scale initiative in an extremely diverse community. Presenters will also discuss how to measure success across the process.
Participants in this web seminar will be able to:
-Describe the catalyst for SF DAAS to take on a Reframing Aging initiative;
-Identify what steps on the macro and micro levels are needed to implement and sustain a Reframing Aging initiative;
-Identify key partners and collaborations—who or what organization needs to be at the table; and,
-Discuss how to measure success across the process.
