For Dog Aging Web

Every animal lover knows it is nothing short of tragic that the lives of our beloved pets are so short compared to ours. Now, research derived from the biology of aging may be able to lengthen those joyful years with our pets — while also helping us to understand aging processes for ourselves. The Dog Aging Project is an innovative national study allowing researchers to identify the genetic and environmental factors that underlie healthy aging, so they can develop therapies that extend healthy lifespan for the entire family.

In the latest talk in our Live Better Longer series, Prevention’s Editor-in-Chief Sarah Smith will be joined by the two leading experts in this fascinating area of longevity research.
