This workshop is open to all. Presentations and advice will be focused on early career investigators who are planning to apply for the 2021 “Grants for Early Medical and Surgical Specialists’ Transition to Aging Research (GEMSSTAR)”.

About the Virtual Workshop
Geared toward early career investigators, the workshop offers talks from NIA leaders who will provide an overview of the NIA and an introduction to the NIH grant process. Topics will be focused on those applying for a GEMSSTAR Award, but relevant to all early career investigators who are applying for funding including: grant-writing, the review process, resubmissions and professional/career development plans.
There will be ample opportunity for Q&A with our diverse panel of NIA Staff including Officers from Program, Scientific Review and Grant Management.
